Infertility is
usually defined as the inability to get pregnant after a year of unprotected
sex. Infertility affects women and men equally. 1/3rd of infertility cases are
due to female factor infertility. 1/ 3rd are due to male factor and the
remaining due to problems from both sides or unexplained reasons.
Causes Of Infertility in Women
A woman’s age is
probably the most significant factor related to her ability to conceive. In
addition to age, there are a number of conditions that can interfere with a
woman’s fertility including endometriosis, polycystic ovarian syndrome,
pituitary tumors and pelvic inflammatory disease.

Causes for Men
A man may be
infertile because he does not have enough sperm, because the sperms are not
active enough because the passage or vas deferens is blocked, of problems with
ejaculation.
- · Mumps occuring after puberty.
- · Varicose veins in scrotum.
- · Use of certain drugs such as those of depression or high bloodpressure Explosure of the testes to high temperature, such as thosethat result from the wearing of tight , unventilated clothes (Jeans)excessive use of hot tubs, or conditions in the work place.
- · Use of tobacco or alcohol.
- · Hormonal problems.
- · Injury to the testes
Sexually
transmitted diseases, such as gonorrhea. According to Ayurvedha, conception
takes place due to healthy sperm, healthy ovum and a healthy uterus. For men
and women reproductive health depends on the health of the Shukra Dhatu.
In women the
shukra tissue produces the ovum as part of the monthly cycle, and in men the
semen is formed due to sexual stimulation. Dhadupushti tablet morning twice a
day with milk.
