Google Brain – Bringing AI technology to manufacturing!

Artificial Intelligence is booming exponentionally and talk of the town technology since recent years. Researchers and scientists truly believe that AI would be the future technology that dominates all over the globe.

Andrew ng, Co-founder of google brain announced, Landing.ai, a company which is aimed at helping businesses to transform the manufacturing sector into AI companies. He picked manufacturing sector because machine learning techniques can help with the number of problems and AI has the potential to  radically transform the industry.

Landing.ai will create and provide software for manufacturing companies as well as educational materials to help employees and executives to take advantage of new tools.

For example, visual inspection system is one of the product developed by Landing.ai, that uses images from camera to identify defects in products.  These kind of works can be achieved by humans itself but he believes that company’s software could solve the problem with greater accuracy and efficiency.

Landing.ai is committed to train employees to come up with a transition of AI powered future.

The startup is in the process of pursuing a handful of early clients, with a focus on companies in the U.S., Japan, and China. One of its key early customers is Foxconn, a Chinese manufacturing giant that builds iPhones, among many other products.

In the coming years, Landing.ai could move into other sectors, like logistics, as well as providing more public education resources to help a broader population adopt new tools.
